1ST VICE CHAIR

Brit Mahoney

Britney is a dedicated resident of Dorchester who is married to her husband Brian, they are proud parents of four school-aged boys who are enrolled in the DD2 school district.

With over 21 years of experience as Chief of Staff for entrepreneurs and small businesses, Britney is not only an accomplished leader but also a passionate advocate for her community. She has significantly contributed to Dorchester, serving as the Chapter Chair for Moms for Liberty Dorchester and previously in Monmouth County, NJ. For the past two years, she has mentored students through the Beacons program at two local schools, empowering the next generation. Recently, she has focused on assisting low-income and special needs families in navigating school choice to enhance their educational opportunities. Furthermore, she is excited to soon open a local business that will serve the Dorchester community.

Britney's vision is to unite the Dorchester community while ensuring it remains an outstanding place for families to live, work, and thrive. Drawing from her rich experiences and a strong commitment to positive change, she is eager to play a vital role in the ongoing development and betterment of Dorchester.

2ND VICE CHAIR

Brady Bowyer

Driven by a desire to see government restrained and freedom maximized, Brady first became active in Republican politics at the age of 18. Over the years, he has worked on campaigns and PACs for conservative Republicans across the country, from city councils to US Senate, as well as issue-advocacy groups defending the free market, and our right to bear arms.

 

Since relocating to the Lowcountry from Las Vegas in 2021, it has been Brady's honor to serve as your Second Vice Chairman since 2023. His wife, Emily, also serves as DCRP Secretary. Brady's primary motivation for serving in this role is to help party members channel their passion into effective activism that will advance our conservative principles!

3RD VICE CHAIR

Rhonda Pereira

Rhonda has resided in Dorchester County for over 20 years, where she, her husband Chris, and their two children have made their home. Guided by faith, family, and freedom, these values have shaped her life and career. Raised in a family dedicated to serving others, Rhonda transitioned from the private sector to a 26-year career as a federal law enforcement officer. She retired early due to the mandatory COVID vaccination requirement for federal employees and shifted her focus to supporting fellow Republicans running for office, promoting the growth of the party and its platform, and educating others to advance conservative principles.

One of Rhonda’s most fulfilling accomplishments has been her service on the Dorchester County Greenbelt Commission. In this role, she has worked to preserve and protect the county’s natural resource greenspace, as well as areas of heritage and agricultural value, ensuring these treasures benefit both current and future generations. Her motivation is rooted in a deep commitment to improving the quality of life for all Dorchester County residents.

State Executive
Committeman

Rebecca Lawson

Rebecca Lawson is a candidate running for Dorchester County State Executive Committeeman. With a background as a Chemical Engineer, she spent 13 years in manufacturing within heavy industry and Corporate America before retiring early to focus on raising and homeschooling her two children with her husband Tom. During this time, she also committed herself to extensive volunteer work.

In 2019, Rebecca became actively involved in Dorchester County's political and governmental landscape. She joined the Dorchester County Federation of Republicans Women's Club and founded the first Women Impacting the Nation chapter in the county, recruiting two additional women to host their own chapters. Her engagement with the Dorchester County Republican Party (DCRP) includes door knocking, making phone calls, and managing campaign signs during every primary and general election, often supporting multiple candidates.

Rebecca has demonstrated leadership by recruiting and training poll watchers, organizing precinct activities for Archdale 2, and serving as the 3rd Vice Chair of the DCRP. She has contributed to various committees, including re-organizations, ways and means, and legislative efforts, while also chairing the Faith Outreach Committee. This role involved year-round efforts to build relationships with pastors, host events, and deliver speaking engagements.

In the most recent election cycle, Rebecca played a pivotal role in Duke Buckner’s campaign against incumbent Jim Clyburn. She managed volunteer training, door knocking, phone calls, marketing, media opportunities, and event scheduling, while also representing Duke in meetings. Her efforts included knocking on over 5,000 doors across multiple regions and engaging with voters, particularly Democrats, to find common ground and encourage support for Duke.

As a candidate for State Executive Committeeman, Rebecca aims to enhance communication between county executive committees and their precincts, serving as a strong voice for the DCRP in Columbia. With her proven dedication, time, and ability, she believes her track record makes her the ideal choice.
